Here are Changes in MRT Operation Schedule During Micro PPKM

Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) operating schedule is adjusted due to the implementation of Micro-Scale Public Activities Restrictions (PPKM) which started from February 11, 2021

On Saturday and Sunday, we operate at 06:00-20:00

PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) Operation and Maintenance Director, Muhammad Effendi said, on Monday-Friday MRT serves customers from 05:00 to 22:00.

"On Saturday and Sunday, we operate at 06:00-20:00," he added, Thursday (2/11).

Here are the Adjusted Operational Hours of Transjakarta, MRT and LRT Jakarta

In weekdays, he informed, headway time between train series is set every 5 minutes in rush hours at 07:00-09:00 and 17:00-19:00. While 10-minutes headway outside rush hours.

"During weekend, headway time is set every 10 minutes," he mentioned.

According to him, during Micro PPKM, his side also limited number of passengers into 62-67 people per car or up to 390 people per train series.

Operation schedule was adjusted as MRT's support for government's efforts in overcoming COVID-19 pandemic.

"This policy applies because Micro PPKM has been applied by government as a new strategy to reduce COVID-19 transmission. Changes in MRT operation schedule are mentioned in Jakarta Transportation Agency Head Decree No. 65/2021," he explained.

He reminded MRT users to be disciplined in implementing health protocols, by wearing masks, maintaining safe distance with other passengers, and often washing hands.

"We also recommend passengers for not talking, either one or two ways, while inside the train and station platform area," he closed.
